Alright. So: ANUBIS.
I was looking at this little prepped pearly-pink pony. "How the HELL do I make YOU into a GOD?!"

Time to skribble.
After some sketches I had a very clear idea of what I wanted to do.

I cut away the jaw and added wire to make a new jaw and to lenghten the ears and I needed a wire for the tail. And then I started sculpting. And sculpting. And sculpting.
I didn't sand at all (just to correct one tooth). I spent very much time with sculpting to get it all right.

At first muscles (yes, he has abs Whoa!), jaw, ears.
Then skirt, armor, armor, armor, then leg-pieces and staff. Then details and the stick-thingies at his ears.

Colour was a problem. Glass jars keep paint wet for days and weeks. You should try it. Great! All colours are mixed with metallic paint to get a shiny tone. Even the black is pearly. Full body repaint with at least 8 coats. The gold for the details was tricky as the colour didn't cover well. And I had trouble to find the right colour for the armour but I'm very pleased with the blueish tone.
Eyes are many blue hues with lots of golden flakes and no pupil.
Grey swarovski crystals and some clear tiny hotfix crystals.
Sealed with MP matte and glossy (Next time I add the crystals after sealing because they became dull. ARGH).

Thanks so much. It was a time consuming piece but worth it... Glad you like it. ^^ He can carry his staff in his mouth. :giggle:

Actually I have no clue what the font was called, but I bet you can find it on one of the free font sites. Just browse a bit.

wow, incredible work. I'm such a slow worker, all my paint is kept in little glass jars but they're so hard to find I can only work on about 2 ponies at a time! It was definitely worth the work :)

Thank you. I know what you mean. I had to encounter that my mixed colours have dried by now. But that's okay. I work in "waves": Pick some ponys and prep, then sculpt all of them, then paint all of them, then rehair all of them. It keeps my workplace tidier but makes me do a rehair when I feel like painting too.

hehe, I'm nowhere near so organised! I usually just do one or two ponies at a time and paint or rehair whenever I feel like it XD It's an absolute mess when I've got a custom on the go!

Well, I'm not as organized as it sounds so my workplace is messy too. But I finished painting 6 customs this weekend (just need to seal the last) and then I can start rehairing. *sigh* I don't like rehairing...
